Have a jasper? share your experince and thought of the new board

Well a friend is getting for me one of the new arcade with jasper board, i would like to hear your opinions and thoughts if you have it or if you are planning to get one :D

I have a Jasper!!! yay me!!! ok so here is the lowdown yes it doesn't get as hot and it performs a hell of alot better than my old xbox! on the flip side, its loud as fuck when playig a game off the cd, this is probably due to the fact that they uped the speed on the back fans and because the fans are cheap and not quality fans like i have in my pc! other than that its a great board!

i dont have a jasper...i got my xbx back the month before the mobo was relesed but i got some upgraded fans that work better

well jasper boards was only out after october in the arcade package, just until weeks ago some pro started to come out with jasper boards (ms wanted to sell the old mobo first) and atm the only elite with jasper board is the resident evil 5 edition.

interesting.. never heard of the jasper boards. in my opinion... late at night any game off the cd and paused or loading screen is "loud as f" especially one of my friends (so much so it peeved me off and he pretty much had to copy his games onto the HD 2 not pee me off)

Many may or not know the xbox360 have passed thru many different boards hoping to sort the rrod, last board was known as Falcon and reduced rrod chance to 30% if im not mistaken and use 175w, the new jasper boads came ou in october of 2008 and these reduce the rood to supposedly 2-5%? and they use just 150w (can be check on the back of the system and the brick)

The first package with jasper boards was the know Arcade (sega superstars/arcade), after that the new Resident Evil 5 package was the only elites with jasper boards released, and around 2 weeks ago some Pro packages have been reported to be jasper boards too.

If this dont nail the rrod, next year microsoft plans to release the valhalla, another board that was in development along with jasper.

i see.. yeah we have the sega superstar arcade bundle.. the arcade has a different power supply to the old elite box (rrod fixed box) i didnt think to why there was a difference in power supply...
if ur worried bout over heating, dust and rrod u could always get more fans for the 360, seen em for like 20 or so... im sure it'd add to the noise tho.
